CP Muazu Haliru takes over as CP Akwa Ibom State Command.

The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris has approved the posting of a new Commissioner of Police to Akwa Ibom State Police Command.

He is CP Muazu Zubairu Halilu. He takes over from CP Don Awunahfsi as the 22nd Commissioner of Police of the State Police Command

CP Muazu Zubairu Halilu holds a Bsc (Hons) degree in Botany from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Advance Diploma in Public Admin University of Abuja, a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from University of Lagos and Master’s degree in Policy and Strategic Management from International University of Bamenda, Cameroon.

He has served the Nigeria Police Force in various capacities, amongst which are Divisional Police Officer–Jimeta (Adamawa State), Head Anti-fraud Unit, and Nigeria Police FCID Abuja,  IGP Special Investigation Unit and Head of Operations, EFCC, Lagos.

Others are Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Fraud Unit FCID, Deputy Commissioner of Police Air Port Police Command Lagos, Commissioner of Police (Admin) Department of Finance and Admin Force Headquarters Abuja, Commissioner of Police, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Police Force Headquarters Abuja and lately Commissioner of Police, Niger State Police Command.

A statement by DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu, Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State said the new CP is happily married with children. The Commissioner of Police has assumed duty.
