Criminality: Enugu Police Storm ‘Malaysia Forest’, Arrest Notorious Kidnappers, Armed Robbers, Murder Suspects.

Determined to cleanse the state on hardened criminal elements making life unbearable for citizens, the Enugu State Police Command under the headship of CP Mohammed Dan Mallam, has raided the notorious criminal hideout known as ‘Malaysia Forest  and arrested several suspects including kidnappers, armed robbers and murder suspects.

 

The Police warned hoodlums operating at Adani and Nimbo areas of the state to relocate out of Enugu as it has identified their dens and will continue the raids with a view to stamping out their criminal activities.

Making the disclosures in a statement, Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu disclosed that the command through intelligence gathered last week arrested two notorious and wanted Kidnapping/robbery kingpins.

 

They are Jonathan Okeagu and Simon Enejere, who had been on the wanted list of the command with a stolen motorcycle and Tiger plants.

 

The statement reads, “Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force through its operatives are making significant progress in the ongoing onslaught against criminal elements within Nimbo/Adani axis of Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu state with the earlier raiding of notorious Malaysia Forest and arrest of some notorious armed robbery, kidnapping and murder suspects.

 

“A full scale investigation has commenced into the alleged nefarious activities as the state command has vowed to sustain the tempo of the onslaught against criminal elements within the axis and its environs”.

 

“The command operatives through intelligence information over the past weekend, nabbed another two notorious and deadly suspected Kidnap/cult group kingpins who have been on the wanted list of the commands operatives over their nefarious activities.

 

“Suspects who gave their names as one Jonathan Okeagu and Simon Enejere all of Umuasa Village Ugbene Ajima of Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu state were nabbed by operatives at Nimbo with two suspected stolen motorcycles/Tiger Generator”,

 

Announcing that Jonathan Okeagu had earlier been convicted some time ago for criminal activities in the area, the PPRO said, “The Okeagu was arrested and charged to court and later remanded in prison custody for various offences ranging from cult related issues and other vices and for having serious links with suspected kidnappers within the area and its environs.”
