A statement confirming the arrest from the Commissioner of Police, CP Hafiz Inuwa said, “Following reliable intelligence at disposal of the Police on Wednesday 21 March 2018, at about 7.35pm, two suspected cultists namely Saviour Bassey and Ike-Obasi were both arrested along Achibong Iso and Efiakabo streets.
“Upon search on the bag they threw on the ground, the following items were recovered – 2 locally made pistols, 2 live cartridges, 1 mask, and 2 mobile phones.
Investigation is still on to arrest other suspects at large.
