Cyber Criminality: NPF-NCCC to Collaborate with National Identity Management Commission; As CP Uche declare NIMC Data Base is Secure

The Director, Nigeria Police Force, National Cyber Crimes Centre, CP Ifeanyi Uche Henry on Wednesday said the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Digital Data base is secure after being subjected to forensic audit.

“We swiftly conducted profiling and analysis upon hearing concerns about the security of NIMC’s database. Our forensic analysis confirmed that the database is indeed secure.”

Speaking when the management of NIMC paid a courtesy cal on the Centre, CP Uche said, “The visit underscored the importance of stakeholder engagement in creating a more secure digital landscape.

“Although NIMC’s protection is strong, we seek to provide an additional layer of security, which is the responsibility of the Nigeria Police Force to protect lives and properties, including our digital information infrastructure and that of the Federal Government and NIMC.”
