Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Capacity Building: NPF-NCCC (Cyber Hawks) Training for Secure Digital Landscape Holds in Abuja.

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (CYBER HAWKS) on Monday 24th and Tuesday 24th June 2024 commenced a 2-day comprehensive training program for personnel of the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) of the Nigeria Police Force.
The training, which took place at the Nigeria Police Force-National Cybercrime Center, Abuja, is intended to strengthen and equip PSFU personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively investigate and prosecute cyber-related crimes.
The training was conducted by experienced and certified digital forensics Investigators from the NPF-NCCC (Cyber Hawks) and featured hands-on exercises, real-world case studies, which covered topics on Open-Source Intelligence Investigation, Basics of Cryptocurrency Investigation, Fundamentals of Digital Forensics and Call Detail Record Analysis.
“This training demonstrates the Inspector General Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun’s Commitment in strengthening Police capabilities in the fight against all forms of physical and cybercrime”, the Centre daid.
“The training will further enhance the capacity of PSFU personnel to investigate and prosecute complex cyber-related fruad cases, ensuring a safer and more secure digital environment for Nigerians.
In his remarks the Director, Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center NPF-NCCC, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, Chairman Heads of INTERPOL working group on cybercrime, commended the IGP for giving the Cyber Hawks the enabling environment to serve,
He also thanked the DIG FCID and encouraged participants to leverage on the training for their growth and skill enhancement, particularly in tackling  cyber-enabled crime.
CP Uche reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to leveraging on emerging technological advancements to protect victims of cybercrime and Nigerias Critical National Information Infrastructure.
