President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed commendation to the Nigerian Army for its decisive response and defeat of the failed attempt by Boko Haram terrorists to take over Damasak and Gudumbali in North East.
He spoke when the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Tukur Buratai visited the Presidential Villa to update him on progress in the war against insurgency.

A post in the Nigerian Army Twitter handle on Friday night reads, “JUST IN: The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai briefed the C-in-C today (Friday) 21 September 2018 on the Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency efforts in the North East.
“The C-in-C was impressed with the decisive response of the COAS to the initial setbacks in the North East.
“The C-in-C also commended the troops efforts in dealing with the bandits in the North West especially Zamfara State.
“The COAS seized the opportunity to pledge the unalloyed loyalty of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army to the C-in-C
“He also assured Mr President
@MBuhari of the Nigerian Army’s resolve to continuously protect the territorial integrity of the country as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.”
