Defence Chief, General Musa Plays Host to Dein of Agbor; Says Traditional Institutions are Vanguard’s for National Stability

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa has assured the traditional institution in the country of the readiness of the armed forces to protect the nation’s territorial integrity in all fronts and to ensure peace and stability in Nigeria.

Speaking when he received the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Dein Keagborekuzi Benjamin Gbenoba 1 on a courtesy call, the CDS further said the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) will continue to partner with the traditional institutions to achieve it’s constitutional mandate.

Furthermore, Gen Musa while describing traditional rulers as vanguard’s for national stability, appreciated the Monarch for finding time to visit the Defence Headquarters.

According to a statement by Defence headquarters, “the CDS maintained that the military is willing to address all forms of insecurity in the country”.

Earlier in his remarks, the Dein of Agbor thanked the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their dedication and great services to the nation and beyond.

He commended the sacrifices by members of the Armed Forces, while thanking the CDS for accepting the apology tendered by the people of Okouma over the killing of military personnel in an unfortunate attack that occured in march, 2024.

He further described the AFN as the pinnacle of the nation while thanking the military for protecting the nation by also ensuring peace, economic growth, and stability.
