The Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers after one of their members earlier nabbed by Police blew the lead on their activities.
A statement of the arrest from the Police Command headquarters entitled ‘Arrest of Confessed Kidnappers’ noted that the arrest followed the kidnap and subsequent escape of a victim, one Ben Ninigbe on Thursday 25th May 2017 at about 11. 31pm at Umusam-Kwale.
It said, “This is upon the confession of one of the earlier arrested kidnappers, Samson Okwaji on Sunday 28th May 2017, by a combined team of Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime (SAKCCS) Operatives and the Anti-Cult Volunteer group, Kwale.
On Monday 29th May 2017, the Anti-Cult Volunteer group at Umusam Ogbe, Kwale and a combined team of Kwale Policemen/Vigilantes arrested one Onyemechi Kess and Ananenu Bright and handed them over to SAKCCS for their complicity in the kidnap.
They are both of Emu Ebendo in Kwale, Ndokwa Local Government of Delta state. The suspects confessed to the crime and are helping the police in further investigation.
