Delta Police dispatch 4 robbery suspects to grave beyond in shootout.

The Police in Delta State, have dispatched four members of an armed robbery gang suspected to have attacked a lodge for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Isiokolo, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, to the grave beyond after a shootout.
The robbery gang, who had been terrorizing Isiokolo and its environs, attacked the NYSC lodge few days ago, carting away valuables belonging to the defenseless corps members.
They were also said to have attacked a bush bar in the neighbourhood of the lodge, causing mayhem.
Acting Public Relation Officer, Delta State Police Command, ASP Chuks Oresewezie who confirmed the operation said four of the robbers met their Waterloo on Monday during a shootout with a team of operatives from Isiokolo police division of the state police command.
Police sources at the division said detectives had been on the trail of the suspects, adding that with the assistance of the local vigilante group, operatives busted the robbers in neighbouring Kokori town after they carried out another robbery operation.
Following a tip off, the Police operatives clamped down on the suspects who are from Warri, at the wee hours of the day.
In an ensuing confrontation, three vigilante men sustained gunshot injuries from the bullets of the robbers while four of the suspected robbers were killed instantly.
Others are said to have escaped while two locally-made guns and ten cartridges were recovered at the scene of exchange of fire.
ASP Chuks Oresewezie further said efforts are being intensified to arrest other fleeing members of the robbery gang.
