The Police in Delta State have arrested three armed robbery suspects terrorizing law abiding persons along Koko junction, Sapele and Ughelli areas of the state.
According to a statement from the office of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Zanna, while two suspects were arrested at Koko, the other armed robbery suspect was arrested at Ughelli.
The statement entitled, ‘Arrest of Suspected Armed Robbers Recovery of locally made cut to size gun’, said, “On Saturday 15th July 2017, at about 8.15pm, men of PMF 51 on duty at Koko Junction, arrested and brought to Oghara Police Station, One Ismail Mudashiru and Hafiz Abu.

“Both robbery suspects hail from Iwo LGA of Osun State but reside in Sapele/Iwo. Upon search of the vehicle they were traveling with, one locally made cut to size pistol, one jack knife, 3 handsets and charms were recovered from them.
The Police also said that, “On Saturday 15th July, 2017, at about 11.15pm, one Erhino Godspower of Oro street, Ughelli, came to the station and reported that armed men that specialized in snatching handsets at gunpoint, are disturbing them in their street.
“That same day, at about 10.25pm, they saw 2 men and strongly suspected them and alerted the police.
“With help of vigilante men in the area, one Friday Samuel 21 yrs of Uwheru village Ughelli, was arrested with a locally made gun, cut to size.
The Police said investigation into the case is ongoing and efforts are on top gear to arrest his gang members that escaped.
