Delta Police Smash Gang terrorizing Warri and Environs; Arrest Kingpin in hideout with 2 AK 47 rifles, 147 live Ammunitions, AK 47 Magazines, 6 face masks & oil for servicing AK 47 rifles.

Crack detectives of the Delta State Police Command have busted a criminal gang responsible for many of the robberies in Warri and other surrounding communities and in the process, arrested one of the kingpins of the gang even as a large cache of arms and ammunition belonging to the gang were captured.

Confirming the breakthrough, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Hafiz Inuwa said the armed robbery kingpin and his gang had on the 4h of March 2020 robbed a Toyota Corolla car at gun point along refinery road in Warri at about 12.30pm. 

Consequently, Police detectives while discreetly investigating, tracked the unregistered Toyota Corolla to the robbery kingpin named Mike Mishan, trailed and arrested him.

Securityking News gathered that , the 32-year-old suspect, Philip Mike Mishan, popularly known as Cele, is the brain behind a series of violent robberies in the cities of Warri and Effurun since 2010.

Following investigations and confessions of Mishan to the Police, he led Police operatives to the gang’s hideout at Ebrumede area, where the snatched car was recovered.

Also recovered at the hideout were 2 AK 47 rifles with breech numbers 10183 and 4833, 145 rounds of 7.65mm and AK 47 live ammunition, 5 rifle magazines, 6 face masks and a tin of oil used for servicing  of rifles.

While noting the arrested Kingpin is a confirmed notorious armed robbery wanted for several robbery attacks in Delta state, CP Inuwa said the Police will not relent in the investigations until other members of the gang are apprehended.
