Delta State Police Command arrest School Proprietor for defiling NYSC member in Delta; Nab’s robbery suspect whose gang attacked hotel in Ughelli.

The Delta State Police Command said it has apprehended a school proprietor, Mr. Michael Anigholor, for having carnal knowledge of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, without her knowledge.
The suspect, who is the owner of Grace Life International School, Oghata-Efe, Ethiope east local government area of Delta state, was arrested after the Corps member complained.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, who briefed journalists on Tuesday at the state Command headquarters said, “On 14/01/2020 at about 11 am, the complainant, a Youth Corper posted to Grace Life International School, Oghata-Efe alleged that on 9th January, 2020, she went to report at the school for her primary assignment.
“After her documentation, the suspect Michael Anigholor who is the proprietor took her to his house in Sapele and had carnal knowledge of her without her consent”.
CP Inuwa, disclosed that the suspect has been arrested and charged to court with charge sheet No. MS/MUSC/02c/2020.
He commended members of the public and the press for assisting the police in doing their work.
Also, the Delta State Police Command on Friday 7th of February arrested an armed robbery suspect, recovering arms and ammunition in the process.
The Police said, “On 07/02/2020 at about 8.45pm, operatives from Ughelli received distress call about a robbery at Kubi hotel and mo ilized to the scene.
 A patrol team on arrival arrested one Owin Alaco Avweneyere 24 years of Urinde street with 2 locally made pistols and two live cartridges.
Other items recovered from him include one expended cartridge, a bag containing #26,500, a POS machine and 4 ATM cards, one permanent voters card, Indian hemp and 2 mobile phones.
According to the Police, the suspect confessed that he was part of a 3 man gang that participated in the hotel robbery.
Similarly, on Sunday 10th February 2020, operatives of Delta State Police Command smashed a gun making factory at Ibesivha community in Pay I LGA and recovered six firearms and ammunition after the operation
The arms manufacturer was arrested with his accomplice and taken to Asaba for further investigations.
