The headquarters, Depot Nigerian Army in Zaria at the weekend paraded two fraudsters impersonating Army Officers and indulging in defrauding unsuspecting potential recruits of their hard earned money.
Parading the suspects before newsmen in his office, the Acting APRO Depot Nigerian Army Lt. A. A. Adekunle said the suspects Messr Muhammad Musa and Shafi’u Yahaya were arrested near Chindit Cantonment by their Military Police after some victims raised alarm.
They were arrested on the 29th July 2018 while claiming to be working in collaboration with the duo of Abubakar Sadiq Musa and Lawal Bala Abdullahi whom they claimed to be military officers and lure unsuspecting victims for syndicate.
Already they have defrauded eight potential recruits to the tune of N1.310.000.00 which they have shared among themselves.

In view of this development , the management of Depot Nigerian Army Zaria warned general public to desist making any transaction with individuals as regards to the Recruitment of soldiers and the said two persons who are at large Abubakar Sadiq Musa and Lawal Bala Abdullahi were at no time officers of the Nigerian Army.
According to him the recruitment into the Nigerian Army is free and only possible through a transparent and rigorous process which starts from completion of online registration form and subsequent screening process at the respective centers.
The called on the people to be aware of the fraudsters and resist the temptation of falling victims of the fraudulent online social media platforms that request for payment for easy enlistment in to the Nigerian Army, doing so will be at ones risk.
When asked on why they engaged in to this act the suspects began to push blame on each others.
