The Director of Sports, Defence Headquarters, Abuja, Air Vice Marshal Dayo Adeluoye, has charged cadets of the 65 Regular Course (Army) and 66 Regular Course (Navy and Air Force) to put National Interest above all other consideration in the discharge of their duties as officers, upon their graduation from the Nigerian Defence Academy.

AVM Adelouye, who was the Guest of Honour at the NDA Prize Giving and Beating of Retreat ceremony ahead of the Passing out of the cadets on the 6th of October, while stressing the importance of National Interest, reminded the cadets of their role of subordination to civil authority and the protection of the nation’s territorial integrity.

He added that with the training the cadets received at the Academy, they are expected to be exemplary leaders in the future.

He therefore encouraged them to be fair and firm in their dealings with their subordinates and to be prudent in the management of both human and material resources that would be placed under their care in the course of their career.

Speaking further, AVM Adelouye called on the cadets to reciprocate the efforts of the Academy into moulding them to become future leaders of their national Armed Forces by putting in their best in all their responsibilities in future.
