Distribution of Pamphlets on Senator Dino; Destruction of constituency projects: Police vow to arrest perpetrators.

The attention of the Kogi State Police Command has been drawn to the publications in The Nation and Punch Newspapers of 19th July, 2018 that pamphlets were distributed by unknown persons warning Senator Dino Melaye, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District not to come to the State.

This report is baseless and unfounded calculated at manipulating the mindsets of Nigerians and the good people of the State.

This is indeed false in its entirety aimed at disrupting the existing peace the State is enjoying.

The Command received the report of the unfortunate incidents at the early hour of Wednesday 18th July, 2018 that part of Government Girls Secondary School Sarki Noma and UBE Junior Secondary School Lokongoma Lokoja was burnt down by unknown arsonists.

Immediately, the Command deployed Police personnel to the scene to secure the area and to forestall any breakdown of law and order, while investigation is ongoing.

The Commissioner of Police condemned the act in strong term, stating that the facilities are a government property and must be protected by the Police.

While assuring the State Government and the good people of the State that the Police will do everything possible to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to book.

The Commissioner urged the law abiding citizens of the State to go about their lawful businesses and to always avail the Security agencies with credible information on the existence of Criminal elements in the State.

The renewed commitment of the Command to guarantee protection of lives and property remains unequivocal and unwavering.
