The Police in Borno disclosed Sunday night that two persons were confirmed dead and several others injured when suicide bombs went off at the University of Maiduguri security offices.
Sources around the university environment stated that the bombs which exploded between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, injured an unconfirmed number of children and scores of adults.

While one suicide bomber was said to have died on the spot, the other was arrested and handed over to Police/Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Borno state.
Police Public Relations Officer, Borno State, Victor Isuku, stated that only two people died from the attack at the University of Maiduguri in the suicide attack,
He disclosed that he was at the scene of the incident at about 12:05 a.m. today, Monday, June 26 to see things for himself.
His words, “At Unimaid only one male suicide bomber died. Three university security personnel were injured. One later died.”
