As the Muslim Faithful commence festivities marking the Eid-El-Kabir, Commanding Officer, NNS Delta, Commodore Ibrahim Dewu has called for prayers for peace in the nation and prayers for protection of security personnel in the performance of their onerous task of ensuring security and stability in various facets of the nation.

Dewu spoke in Warri when hundreds of Muslim worshippers from Warri and environs gathered at the NNS Delta Parade Ground for the special EID prayers.

Addressing newsmen after the prayers, Commodore Dewu noted that the period is one that calls for sober reflection in the country even as he enjoined all Muslims and Christians alike to pray for security personnel for protection in the performance of their duties.

Similarly some of the faithful at the occasion said they prayed in solidarity with Prophet Muhammad, for the good health of President Muhammadu Buhari while prayers were also said for obedience to the injunctions of Allah, steadfastness and peaceful co-existence in the country.
