Enugu PCRC members visit Enugu CP, Assure of Robust Partnership

The Executive members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Enugu state command on 12th March, 2019 paid a courtesy visit to the Enugu state commissioner of Police Sulaiman Balarabe in his office at the state command Headquarters Enugu.

The PCRC assured him of their continual support for robust police Community Relations in Enugu state for the command to continue to remain proactive in their policing methodology/approach.

The Police Relations Committee members were led by the Coordinator SP Ebere Amaraizu the command Police Public Relations Officer, who also informed the commissioner of police that the committee is alive in their day to day activities.

He said the activities among others affects police community Relations/Partnership which has greatly impacted in the relationship between the police and its communities pointing out that the committee has a wider spread and coverage as all the Area Commands and Divisional Police Headquarters are covered.
In his speech, the State Chairman of the committee in the state, Dr Dominic Ezema thanked and welcomed the commissioner and maintained that the committee will continue to be involved in those programme of action which will promote police community relations/partnership in conjunction with Police public Relations officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu who has been guiding the committee on how to go about its activities in the state.

Responding, the State Commissioner of Police Sulaiman Balarabe thanked the committee for the visit which he said he cherished so much since it revolves around partnership and assured that the state command under his watch will continue to support all police community Relations Programme and aspirations.

He reiterated that the committee is an integral part of the Nigeria Police force whose importance cannot be overemphasized.

Highlights of the visit were the formal handing over of a welcome letter by the chairman of the Police Community Relations committee to the commissioner of police.
