Enugu Police begin investigation of cult activities in Emene; nab 2 suspects, recover exhibits

The Enugu command of the Nigeria Police Force through its operatives have commenced a full scale investigations into the incident of cult activities at Eke obinagu Emene on Tuesday 5/3/19 at about 8pm in which a victim identified as one Chiaha Chijioke”s left wrist was chopped off.

It was however gathered that some group of suspected cultists on 5/3/19 in the night at Eke Obinagu junction axis of Emene had allegedly engaged themselves in a fight over a yet to be established issue/es which resulted to some injuries.

Meanwhile, two of the suspected cult members who gave their names as Daniel Eze AKA Akpor 20yrs from Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu state and Ikechukwu Daniel aka Dan from isiukwuato in Abia state all belonging to Junior Aieye confraternity have been arrested and they are helping the operatives in their investigations

In his account, Ikechukwu Daniel AKA maintained that he got a call from one (AKA Eke) believed to be a cult leader in charge Eke Emene branch for a certain peace talk with other cult members at Eke Obinagu Emene Junction and that on his way to the place, he noticed that everybody are on the run before he was nabbed by the security operatives of the command who had intervened promptly based on distress call received.

The victim identified as one chiaha Chijioke whose left hand wrist was chopped off by the group during the incident on his part maintained that he used to be a member of JVC cult and that he was waiting to board a tricycle to his house when suddenly three persons in a motorcycle approach him from behind and chop of his hand and drove away and and further pointed out that Daniel Eze Aka Akpor was behind the chopping off of his hand.

Recovered by the security operatives includes two axe,a chopped of hand,black cap.

A full scale investigations have commenced into the incident.
