Enugu Police CP, Suleiman Balarabe vows to sustain POCACOV; Flays Cultism, Dangerous Vices.

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has declared its unrelenting efforts aimed at ensuring that Youths remain useful to themselves and to the entire society through their programme tagged POCACOV- Police Campaign Against cultism and other social vices.

Police campaign Against cultism and Other Social Vices is the Programmie of the Enugu State Police command initiated by the Inspector General Of Police IGP Abubakar Adamu Mohammed when he was the Commissioner of Police Enugu state.

The programme which is proactive in nature because of its community policing Programme content and package was designed to reach out to various schools, communities, squares, parks amongst other places and with a view to educating our youths on the inherent dangers in cultism and other vices and the need to eschew cultism and other vices.

According to Enugu State Commissioner of Police Sulaiman Balarabe, the programme has to be sustained as it is a veritable platform towards making our youth meaningful.

According to the Coordinator of the programme who also is the Enugu State Command Police Public Relations officer, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ebere Amaraizu all arrangements have been concluded to take the campaign further to the three senatorial zones in Enugu state such as Enugu North, Enugu East and Enugu West with the support of Nigeria Policing Programme(npp).

During the programme, various stakeholders will be invited for the all important town hall meeting/campaign.

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has carried out vigorous campaign on campaign on cultism and other vices in various communities, schools/colleges, orientation ground, Religious grounds, squares amongst others where they have engaged with various relevant stake holders on the need to have a peaceful environment devoid of cultism, drug Abuse and other social vices.
