The Enugu State Commissioner of Police Sulaiman Balarabe has warned that any officer of the command caught in any manner of extortion will not be spared as adequate disciplinary action will be urgently taken against such erring personnel.
He maintained that for the supervising officer that allows that in his beat,that such an officer will be queried while any member of the inspectorate and Rank and file will be tried in an orderly room trial.
He gave this warning Wednesday while reacting to his arrest of some personnel of the command within the metropolis over the weekend during his routine patrol.

CP Balarabe had arrested some personnel of the command which include an Assistant Superintendent of Police with his team as they were extorting money from motorists and tri-cyclists.
Meanwhile,the Assistant Superintendent of police and the leader of the team has been queried while his team members are now facing orderly room trial at the provost office of the state police Headquarter’s.
The commissioner of police has further advised motorists and tricycle operators to desist from succumbing to the pressure of offering money to operatives but to report promptly for necessary action.
