As part of deliberate policy to ensure that troops deployed for Operation Python dance 2 comply with rules of engagement stipulated for the exercise and also to ensure that troop’s welfare and accoutrements are properly emplaced, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai dispatched some Army Commanders to visit operations bases in the South East.

The General Officer Commanding 1 division of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade, along with the Acting Corps Commander, Army Ordinance Corps, brigadier general Unuigbe, were sent to visit and assess troops’ deployment in Abia state, the epicenter of the IPOB agitation.
