Exercise Egwu Eke II: Commanders visit Exercise Areas as 82 Division Conducts Free Medical Outreach at Mbaise LGA

As part of the activities marking Exercise Egwu Eke II and to enhance synergy of efforts, various Commanders have been visiting the exercise locations.

On Saturday 23rd September 2017, Defence Headquarters team led by Commodore RN Shammah visited Headquarters of Sector 3 to assess the ongoing exercise.

They were received on arrival by the Commander, Brigadier General Adegboye who briefed them in his office before taking them to the Information Centre and finally to the Operation Room where they were briefed on the events that have taken place in the Sector since the commencement of the Exercise.

Similarly, on Saturday 23rd September 2017, the Commander 44 Division Engineers, Brigadier General MM Mamman also visited 144 Battalion where he was received and briefed by the Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel AU Usman and later conducted him round the barracks and some of the deployments including Charlie Company located at Osisioma.

Also, in continuation with activities associated with Exercise, the 82 Division Hospitals and Medical Services carried out another round of free medical outreach on Saturday 23rd September 2017 at Nnarambia Ahiara, Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to a statement signed by Brigadier General SK Usman, Director, Army Public Relations, “The services rendered by 82 Division medical team include free medical consultation, deworming for children, optometry, HIV counseling, distribution of mosquito nets and donation of bags of rice”.

 Present at outreach includes the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, Brigadier General JGK Myam, who is also Director of Operations at the Army Headquarters Department of Training and Operations, the Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General HI Bature and others
