The Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command Yenagoa, Rear Admiral Bello Al-Hassan has commended the entire participants of the recently concluded exercise “FENE VINMO” that held to counter any fire or medical eventuality onboard its war or patrol ships.
The exercise which is aimed at capacity building resulted in Naval personnel engaging in credible demonstration of firefighting skills with the FOC expressing optimism that they (troops) would bring their firefighting experience to bear in the event of any fire incident.

A statement by Lt. Commander Olutope Odunaike said, “Exercise ‘Fene – Vinmo’ (Fene – Vinmo” which means Fire-Fighting in Izon language, was staged in line with the Nigerian Navy Headquarters directives to all its formations in Nigeria”.
“The exercise was staged in collaboration with other relevant security agencies such as Nigerian Air-force, Bayelsa State Fire Service, Mobile Police 30 (Mopol 30) Federal Road Safety Corps and Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) Operatives.
“The exercise attracted various firefighting equipment such as 2 fire trucks, fire extinguishers, fair-not suits, water pumps etc.
“The objective of the exercise was to ascertain fire-fighting efficiency/medical evacuating capability of every naval ship.”
