FCT Police Nabs 3 Suspected Robbers; 2 Solar Powered Panel Thieves.

FCT Police Command on Thursday disclosed that its operatives arrested 3 suspected armed robbers following a tip off on Wednesday 31st May 2017.

A statement from the Command said the robbery suspects were arrested at about 1.15am in the early hours along Rugger Road, Wuye and the suspect are Samaila Ibrahim, Abubakar Haruna, and Yahaya Isah all of no fixed address.

“Anti-crime Patrol, Wuye division swooped in on the suspects few minutes of being notified of the suspect’s activities at Rugger Road” the statement signed by ASP Usen Omorodion said.

“They were arrested in possession of a toy pistol, wrapped substance suspected to be Indian herm, and charms (purportedly used by them to rob and
torment innocent people of the area).

In a similar development, the FCT Police has arrested a notorious solar panel theft syndicate that has been operating in the metropolis.

Two members of the syndicate, Solomon Kwaghmgulum, and Mohammed Haruna were arrested at about 09.00p.m on 01/05/2017 along AYA Bridge, Abacha road.

A Police Statement said, “The Anti-car theft team received a tip-off from a member of the public that the suspects were leaving the scene of operation with the solar panels.

“Officers moved swiftly to the scene and found the suspects with the stolen solar items.

“They have made confessional statements to the crime and assisting the police in the investigations.

“The FCT police command is determined to checkmate unwholesome activities of vandals and other crimes.

“The Commissioner of police CP Musa Kimo commends members of the public for partnering with the police in giving timely information that led to the arrest of the culprits.”

He directed all area commanders, divisional police officers and head of departments in the command to intensify efforts to making sure the FCT is crime free.
