Following the disruption of activity on Saturday evening along airport by some persons who were said to be protesting against the demolition of their shops at Gosa Market, the FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that the situation has been brought under control and normalcy has been restored to the area.

Upon receipt of the situation report on development around Gosa airport road, the Command immediately deployed its personnel to the area and they succeeded in dispersing the protesters and ensured that the blocked road was reopened for the use other road users.
The Command while appreciating the right of citizens to express their grievances, is warning members of the public to guard against taking the laws into their hands and constituting nuisance to innocent citizens.
They are also advised to always adopt legal and legitimate means in seeking redress.
