The Police in Abuja have smashed a gang of notorious armed robbers who have been terrorizing residents of the FCT through several robbery activities.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Usen Omorodion, who confirmed the arrest, noted that the armed robbery gang was arrested by operatives of the Commands’ Special Anti-robbery squad (SARS).

Omorodion said, “A joint operation was carried out by Surveillance and SARS team based on intelligence gathering which led to the arrest of a notorious armed robber one Ifeanyi Nwankwo aka ‘2mins’ and 8 others including a female member who has been terrorizing the residents of Abuja.
“Items recovered from the gang include a locally made pistol, 2 axes and a sword. Suspects are currently in custody and assisting in investigation”.
“The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Kimo encourages law abiding citizens of the Federal Capital to keep providing the police with useful information that would help in making the FCT and its environ safer.”
