The FCT Police Command has arrested 5 suspected armed robbers terrorizing Kabusa and environs.
The robbery gang who were arrested on Sunday 28th May 2017 at about 4pm at Kabusa include Ibezim Chibike ‘M’, Gideon Anih, Michael Musa, Destiny Aloga and Sadiq Abdu.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Omorodion Usen, the suspects were arrested as a follow up to an ongoing investigation into the series of robbery operations of the syndicate by a special team of policemen from Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS and anti-robbery officers from Apo division.
“The team was led by Apo Divisional Police Officer, CSP Yahaya Jelani and the suspects have confessed to the various crimes” Usen said.

The police team who has been on the trail of the gang launched a massive attack on the gang and recovered items including one Beretta pistol, 2 live ammunition, 20 cell phones and a jewelry valued at over N400,000 naira.
While commending his officers for the feat and gallantry, FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Kimo invited the team for a special “ComPol Handshake”.
CP Musa Kimo then assured that the police command will continually live up to expectation and suppress the activities of criminals or hoodlums who want to disturb the peace of the FCT
He has also directed the suspects be transferred to SARS for discreet investigation and arrest of other fleeing members of the syndicate.
