The Federal Government has ordered the cordoning of all entrances leading to the federal secretarial and offices within the vicinity of the National Arcade, where the Wreath Laying ceremony for the armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, 2018 will take place on Monday.
A statement signed by Mr. AO Afolayan, Permanent Secretary (CSO), in the office of the Head of service of the federation giving this directive is entitled ‘Cordoning Off the Entrances to Federal Secretariat Complex, Phases 1, 2 and 3 for the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration’.

It reads, “The Wreath Laying Ceremony at the National Arcade, Abuja, which is the climax of the 2018 Armed Forces remembrance Day celebration will take place on Monday 15th January 2018 by 9am”.
“The security arrangement for the event will entail the cordoning off all entrances in Phases 1, 2 and 3 of the Federal Secretariat Complex from the evening of Sunday 14th January to 12 noon of Monday 15th January 2018”.
“Accordingly, officers in the affected areas will not be allowed access to their offices until after the ceremony.”
