Fighting Insecurity: FCT CP Rewards 4 DPOs, 2 Tactical Commanders, Others with Commendation Awards

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Benneth Igweh has rewarded eight (8) officers including four Divisional Police Officers (DPO), two Tactical Commanders, amongst others, for distinguishing themselves in the command’s operations against kidnappers, one chance criminals and others.

CP Igweh expressed happiness particularly with how the officers motivate and inspire personnel serving under them to contain security threats in their jurisdiction.

He also commended the personnel of the “for their new zeal, uncommon gallantry, passion, and hard-work as evident in the recent successes recorded in stabilizing and improving public safety and security in the Command.

Speaking further during a meeting with the Command Management Team, DPOs and Head of Tactical Squads to assess security situation in the Command, he expressed his sincere appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun for the support received from the Police High Command.

He enjoined the awardees to maintain the level of dedication and steadfastness to service that earned them the commendation.

The CP equally thanked residents of FCT for their patience and resilience as well as the support to the Police, particularly in the rendition of useful information to prevent and combat crimes in the Command.

He assured that the Police would continue to up the ante in the fight against crime and criminality in the FCT.
