The Minister of State for Police Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim has vacated her seat for Miss Ehi Linus of the Police Day Secondary School, Area 11 to symbolize young girls’limitless potential to lead and shape the future.

This occurred during the recent International Day of the Girl Child celebration, hosted by the Minister of State for a students’delegation from the Police Day Secondary School, Area 11, led by their Commandant, DSP Mariam Damilola Yusuf, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
The Minister highlighted the importance of empowering young women by ensuring their good education counselling, and safety as well as active participation in science, technology, engineering, Arts, and Mathematics subjects.
She reaffirmed her dedication to fostering an inclusive environment where every girl child can realize her full potential and contribute meaningfully to national development.
A statement by Bolaji Kazeem, Deputy Director (Information & Public Relations Unit), quoted the Minister, Imaan encouraging the students “to be serious about their education, increase their imagination, and creativity, and improve on their can-do attitude as well as thinking big toward the future”.
She said, “The ongoing Renewed hope Police Reforms within the primary and secondary schools in the police ecosystem is a strong commitment of the government to drive excellence in the police institutions and make them a choice school in the country.
She added that through dialogue and encouragement, the event served as a powerful reminder of the need to invest in the growth and empowerment of the next generation of female leaders.
As a special part of the celebration, one of the students Ehi Linus was allowed to temporarily assume the Honourable minister’s role, symbolizing young girls’ limitless potential to lead and shape the future.
