The Acting General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army, Brig Gen Benjamin Ahanotu on Sunday visited troops of 241 Recce Battalion Nguru as part of routine operational visit to troops under Headquarters 3 Division Tactical (Sector 2) deployed in Operation Lafiya Dole to mark Nigeria’s 57th lndependence Celebration Anniversary.
The Ag GOC, while addressing the troops, said he was highly impressed with standard of discipline and neatness maintained in the barracks.
He stated that such could only be achieved by troops that had value for military regimentation.
He also praised the quality of facilities in the barracks during an inspection.

The Ag GOC further hinted that the barracks would be used to host and train 200 young officers of the Nigerian Army as part of the compulsory leadership and regimentation orientation cadre organized for newly commissioned officers.
Consequently he advised them to maintain and improve upon their established standard.
He also assured them that the authority was very keen to improve on administrative and welfare of troops.
Earlier on arrival, the GOC was received and briefed by the Commanding Officer Col UN Aliyu and was also conducted round of the facilities in the barracks.
Such facilities include Lt Gen TY Buratai Hall of Fame, 200 Capacity Training Shed, Admin Coy Office, Special Training Area, an Ultra-Modern Medical Reception Station, Officers and Soldiers quarters.
The Ag GOC later paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Nguru, His Royal Highness Mai Mustapha Ibn Kyari.
