The General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar on Wednesday, following the directive of the Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai commissioned some key projects at 103 Battalion Aknaknauw, Enugu.
The projects that were commissioned are – the newly constructed Out Patient Department, Officers’ Ward, Tuberculosis Laboratory and the renovated National Health Insurance Scheme Desk Office, as well as the newly built Training Shade where troops will consolidate on training and retraining for the benefit of the nation.
In his remarks at the occasion, Gen Abubakar commended the COAS for his numerous support which assisted in the immediate and successful completion of the projects.
He also commended the Commanding Officer (Rear), Major Maxwell Soro Maji, his officers and soldiers for the good work and assured them of his support at all times.

He used the opportunity of the commissioning to inspect an ongoing Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) Kindergarten school project, where he donated the sum of One Million Naira to assist the association in the successful completion.
General Abubakar was further conducted round an old wooden block that serves as Ante-Natal and Immunization Ward, where he expressed his dismay/disappointment and directed that an alternative place be found for the staff to relocate, to enable immediate demolition and construction of a new modern Ante-Natal for the benefit of the soldiers and their families.
He therefore directed the Commander 44 Engineer Brigade Brigadier General Mark Mamman to immediately start the project.
The occasion was graced by Commanders 54 signal Brigade and 82 Division Supply and Transport, Brigadier Generals OW ALI and EA Anaryu.
Others are the Commander Military Intelligence Brigade Col K Nwoko and DCOS G4 Col MK Ibrahim as well as members of the NAOWA Enugu State Chapter.
