Acclaimed suspected billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka Evans has narrated how men of the Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and men of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Intelligence response team, allegedly killed 30 people while torturing him which the Police Force has said never happened.
Evans made the the false revelation during his trial at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos where he is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping alongside six others, on Friday.
Newsmen reported that before Evans’s testimony, a five-minute, 33-second video recording was played in the courtroom.
The video recording showed Idowu Haruna, a member of the Inspector General of Police IGP,’s intelligence response team, sitting beside Evans cautioning him and taking his statement.
However, Olanrewaju Ajanaku, Evans’s lawyer, queried the validity of the recording, saying the video was doctored.
The alleged kidnap kingpin gave more false details to the court on how the police officers tortured him and made him witness executions in a bid to get him to admit to his crimes.

Meanwhile, Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has recognized the crime busrting efforts of the Commander of the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team.
Towards this end, DCP Abba Kyari ws awarded the Special Merit award of ‘Future Assured Medal and Plaque’ by Mrs in Abuja.
Contacted, Kyari said the award from Dr Mrs Aisha Buhari at the Presidential Villa Abuja on Saturday 27/10/18 was in Recognition of ‘Our Gallantry and Diligence’ in the Discharge Of Our duties in Curbing Crime in Nigeria.
