Ten Passengers including the driver of an eighteen seater bus have been abducted along Akure – Ikere Ekiti road by suspected herdsmen.
The deplorable condition of the road, according to eyewitnesses aided the abduction.
This incident is coming less than a week after the Nigerian Army launched an Anti Kidnapping drones to monitor both Ondo and Ekiti States
The bus was travelling to Ado-Ekiti from Akure before it was ambushed at one of the bad spots on the route.
Some of the occupants of the vehicle were taken away to unknown destination in the bush.

When Securityking News contacted the Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Asuquo Amba on the abductions, he disclosed that the criminal action occurred under the jurisdiction of the Ondo State Police Command.
He however noted that in line with collaboration between the two police commands, he has ordered the deployment of 4 police patrol vans along the stretch of the road to protect law abiding citizens.
His words, “It happened under Ondo jurisdiction though I have directed for more information and collaboration with the CP Ondo. However on our stretch on that road we have 4 patrol teams”.
