How Enugu State Police Command Rescued 5 year old Child from 56 year Buyer Lady during thanksgiving service

A 56 year old woman identified as one Edith Ewulu from Enugu Agidi in Anambra state but said to be residing in Emene Enugu state has been nabbed by the operatives of the Emene Division of the Nigeria Police Force Enugu state command for allegedly being in possession of a f1ve year old baby stolen from the mother on 6/2/19 at Emene Enugu.

She was nabbed by the eagle eyed operatives working on intelligent information as suspects took the said child to one of the New generation churches located at Emene Enugu for thanksgiving and dedication having allegedly changed the name of the stolen child from little miss Felicia as named by her parents to Gift as her daughter.

On her part,suspect Edith Ewulu admitted that she bought the said child from from one Chioma who claimed to be running a social home in Aba Abia state at the sum of four hundred and seventy thousand naira.

According to the suspect, she bought the baby on 7/2/19 from the seller at a renowned hospital in Umuahia which convinced her that the business is genuine but never knew the child was stolen from the mother at Emene in Enugu and that she had taken the said child to her church for a thanksgiving before operatives swooped on her and arresting her with the said baby.

On her part,the biological mother of the child identified as one Philomena Godwin had maintained that her baby was stolen on 6/2/19 at Emene and on that day, she was not feeling owing headache and had decided to go decided to go inside her room to have a short sleep/rest while her baby was outside playing and that when she woke up, she could no longer see her baby and various attempt made to get her proved abortive hence she reported to the police.

She however expressed satisfaction with the prompt move by the police operatives leading to the recovery of her baby and arrest of the alleged buyer.

Meanwhile the recovered baby has reunited with parents while the suspect is helping the police in their investigations which has commenced in full scale.

The command to this end, warns parents and guardians to be security conscious about their child/wards to avoid running into the hands of this mischief makers.

The command also advises members of the public to promptly report any suspicious movement within their environment amongst others to the police for prompt necessary action.
