Sequel to recent security challenges posed by Boko Haram terrorists in cattle rustling to raise funds for their criminal activities, hunters from Gur village in Biu Local Government Area (LGA), Borno State in conjunction with hunters from Damaturu at about 2:48pm on Thursday 23rd November 2017, intercepted suspected Boko Haram terrorists cattle rustlers east of Burashika village of Biu LGA.

During the encounter that lasted several hours, the hunters killed 1 Boko Haram terrorist, recovered an AK-47 rifle mounted with magazine of 2 rounds and 48 cows, 58 goats, 36 sheeps and 12 donkeys.
All the recovered livestock have been handed over to the security operatives in Gur village pending identification by the rightful owners and handover.
