The Commander Infantry Corps (CIC), Major General Stevenson Olabanji has called for the support and cooperation of the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruk Yahaya in the bid to achieve the mandate of the corps.
Major General Okabanji made the call when he paid a familiarization visit to the GOC 1 Division on Monday, 18 June, 2019.
The Infantry Corps Commander who assumed duty on 27 March, 2019 said he deemed it a point of duty to bring the entire Jaji community to 1 Division for its immense support and cooperation to the Headquarters ICC.

Describing the GOC 1 Div as a simple, humble, good hearted, professional, fair and firm General General Olabanji congratulated the Division Commanders and Principal Staff Officers for being lucky to have worked under the very senior and veteran General.
He however, encouraged them to emulate the good deeds of the GOC.
In his response, the GOC thanked CIC for creating time out of his tight schedule to visit the Division.
He assured the CIC of the Division’s readiness to cooperate and support Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre whenever it called upon for assistance.
In his words, “it always pays to collaborate with one another so that if you are lacking in some area, someone would be there to fill the gap.
“We thank you most sincerely for your visit and hope to see you again. We wish you save trip back to your location”
