Today (Tuesday) indeed marked another milestone in the annals of Borno state police command, when the Editorial Board and publishers of “Nigeria Security Matters Magazine” presented CP Damian Chukwu, Borno State CP with the Award of Most Outstanding CP in the North East 2017.
Recall that about a month ago, a similar award was conferred on CP. Damian A. Chukwu by Network of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria.

Presenting the award, the Editor -in-chief of the magazine, Mr. Crescent Ogbu said the magazine advertised and consulted widely for nominations from Media and Civil Society organizations in the north east, and CP Damian A. Chukwu eventually emerged as the “Most Outstanding Commissioner of police in the north east 2017”.
Responding; CP Damian A. Chukwu thanked the Inspector General of police IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, whom he had earlier informed and sought his permission to receive the award.
He thanked the Editorial board and publishers of the Nigeria Security Matters Magazine for the recognition, and said the award was made possible because of the tacit support he got from his Management team, Formation Commanders, Officers and men of the command.
He also used the opportunity to thank Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state, for his sundry supports and assistance to the command.
