Interior Minister, Bello Dambazau inaugurates New Plateau State (NIS) HQ; as Babandede pledges improved service delivery

The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd), has commissioned the Plateau Command New Immigration Command Headquarters.

A statement by DCI Sunday James, spokesman for Nigerian Immigration Service said “The new headquarters will accommodate all the officers and men of the Command.

In his address at the occasion, the Minister enjoined the officers working in the command to increase their zest and vigor toward effective, timely and customer friendly services to the public.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Comptroller General of Immigration Muhammad Babandede assured Nigerians of seamless service delivery with further commitment to building at least two new command structures every year in other parts of the country.

He also appreciated the media for monitoring and professional reportage that has helped in ‘our’ enforcement and security related assignments carried out as expected by the Federal government which has again this year earned the NIS awards.

Among the awards, is the NIGAV 2018 Award and number one position among the agencies at the Airport for best in trade and travel facilitation rated 84% to earn the award
