International Friendly, Super Eagles vs. Atletico Madrid of Spain: Police Deploy 424 Men; Assures of Security

This is to inform the general public that the Akwa Ibom State Police Command in collaboration with Sister security agencies and stakeholders in Sports Administration are working assiduously to facilitate adequate security in accordance with international Standard to ensure a hitch free International friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Atletico Madrid FC of Spain, scheduled to hold on Tuesday 22nd May, 2018, by 6pm at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Command is determined to ensure that soccer loving Nigerians and visitors enjoy the football match in a peaceful atmosphere devoid of infractions. Hence, the Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyemi Ogunjemiluisi, has directed the deployment of four hundred and twenty-four (424) Policemen to provide top notch security before, during and after the football match.

The Commissioner of Police enjoins all soccer loving fans visiting the Nest of Champions and the State to conduct themselves in an orderly and hospitable manner during the period and after as the Command will not hesitate to deal decisively with miscreants and hooligans who may want to take undue advantage of the existing peace and security in Akwa Ibom State.       

POLICE RECRUITMENT EXAMS 

Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command wish to inform successful Applicants in the recently concluded Physical fitness/documents screening exercise for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force, that Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted across designated centres in the State, by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation’s Board (JAMB), on Friday 25th May, 2018 by 7.00Am. The centres are (1) Gestric Infotech and Management Institute, No. 74 Oron Road, Uyo, (2) Ibom E-library Complex, Ibrahim Babangida Way, Uyo, (3) Knowledge Partners Ltd, 30 Udosen Uko Street, Uyo, (4) University of Uyo, and (5) Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene.

The Command therefore warns those who have no business with the Examination to keep off the centers to avoid being apprehended and prosecuted.
