IPOB: Enugu Police warn Parents, Guardians against allowing children join mischief maker

The Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force is advising parents and guardians not to allow their children and ward to be used by any person or group of persons to threaten the existing peace and safety in the state.

The command further warn those with such notion and intention to desist from it as the state command working in partnership with sister security Agencies and relevant stakeholders is assuring residents of their safety and security as those fanning the embers of any unlawful act of ordering for SIT AND HOME on 30th may, 2019 by law abiding members of the public under any guise with a view to truncating the existing peace in the state will be fished out and be made to face the consequence of their act in line with the law .

The commissioner of police Enugu state,Sulaiman Balarabe has enjoined all to be law abiding and go about their normal,lawful businesses in the state before,during and after the said 30th may,2019 without fear of any intimidation or molestation by any group of person or persons.

Meanwhile no fewer than one hundred and fourty persons believed to be men and women operating under the aegis of Indigeneous Peoples of Biafra have been nabbed and currently being remanded in prison custody in the state.

They were nabbed on 22nd may,2019 at Opi Nsukka axis of the state based on intelligence information in relation to their unlawful activities ranging from conspiracy to commit felony to wit Treason.

Their remand followed the arraignment of accused persons on 23rd may,2019 before court 2 of the Enugu south magisterial District.

All the accused persons were remanded in prison custody as bail was not granted for want of jurisdiction and to enable Attorney General of Enugu state file information while case was adjourned to 7th of June, 2019 for Director of public Prosecution (DPP’s) Report.
