On 6/2/2018 at about 06:00hrs, based on a tip off, Police Patrol team attached to Sabon Gari Division Katsina, chased two suspected Motor vehicles along Sabon Titin Kwado to Masallacin Dillalai area, Katsina.
On reaching a point, the occupants abandoned the vehicles in the frontage of a house rented by one of the suspects Surajo Usman of Sabon Titi Kwado, Katsina and took to their heels.
The two motor vehicles recovered were: Toyota Caroler, ash in colour, with registration No. KMC 109 AP, Honda Civic black in colour, with registration No. DTM 336 AA,.
Later one Barrister Farouk Usman Dauran ‘m’ Kwado qrts, Katsina identified the Honda Civic as his own which was stolen on the same date at the frontage of his house.
However, on 20/02/2018 the ring leader of the syndicate Surajo Usman of Sabon Titi Kwado, Katsina was apprehended and during the course of Police Investigation a search was conducted in his house.
And the following items were recovered: 1. 26 bunches of keys 2. 15 sharpened motor vehicle keys 3. 3 fabricated keys and 4. Security padlocks.
Investigation into this case is ongoing. He also mentioned the following as members of his gang:

Hayatu Bashir ‘m’ of Sabon Titi Kwado qrts, Katsina Nura Rabiu of Kofar Durbi qrts Katsina

Also, on Tuesday 27/02/2018 at about 01:15hrs, the Command succeeded in foiling armed robbery attack at Tandama Village, Danja LGA of Katsina state.

The Divisional Police officer, Danja Division SP Abdulrahaman Idris received a distress call that armed robbers have invaded and attacked the houses of one Alhaji Abdullahi Tandama and Alhaji Safiyanu Tandama all of Tandama village, Danja LGA of Katsina state.
The DPO and team swung into action and rushed to the scene. On arrival the hoodlums engaged the police team in a gun duel and in the process two of the armed robbers were gunned down and died on the spot.
The team also recovered one AK 47 rifle with breach No. 197797754 with double magazine containing ten (10) rounds of live ammunition. Investigation is ongoing.
Furthermore, on 25/01/2018 the Command succeeded in arresting one Nasir Abu ‘M’ aged 34yrs of Ramin Kura, Filin Polo Qrts, Katsina who has been parading himself as Flying Officer of the Nigerian Air Force, in military camouflage uniform defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
Nemesis caught off with him when he beat one Saudatu Muhammed Bugaje ‘f’ of Kofar Kaura qrts, Katsina and extorted the following items from her; 1. One Techno K-7 Handset valued N33, 000:00k 2.
One Golden ring valued N39, 000:00k and Cash the sum of N2, 000:00. Suspect also extorted five bags of rice valued N68, 000:00k from a businessman, one Jariri Dando ‘m’ of Kofar Guga qrts Katsina.
During the course of police investigation, 4 sets of Nigerian Air Force camouflage uniforms, 2 Army camouflage facing caps, One military hat 4. 49 pieces of Air Force Buttons, 9 Air Force Badges, 3 flying lieutenant’s rank, 10 SIM cards and one Golf III wagon Navy blue in colour with registration No. AWK 811 HM were recovered in his possession. Suspect was a dismissed Air force personnel and has confessed to the commission of the crime.
He will be arraigned in court immediately investigation is completed.
