On Tuesday 2703/2018 at about 8:30pm, based on a tip off, the Katsina Police Command succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate of armed robbers/kidnappers/cattle rustlers terrorizing Safana, Kurfi and Dutsinma LGAs of Katsina state.
Nemesis caught up with the syndicate when it had a fierce encounter with ‘Operation Sharan Daji’ Police Patrol Team attached to Safana Division.

The following suspects were arrested during the raid: Ya’u Ishuhu ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Tsaskiya village, Safana LGA of Katsina state, Iliyasu Isah ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Jikamshi village, Musawa LGA of Katsina state, Umaru Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 25yrs of Garin Wazirin village, Safana and Tukur Abdulaziz ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Wurma village, Kurfi LGA of Katsina state.
Others are Ibrahim Rabi’u ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Tsaskiya village, Safana LGA of Katsina state and Ibrahim Mamman ‘m’ aged 40yrs of Rawayau village, Kurfi LGA of Katsina state, Bala Babangida ‘m’ aged 25yrs of Rawayau village, Kurfi LGA of Katsina state.
Exhibits recovered from them include two AK 47 rifles with Breech nos. 56045391 and 071498975 with two empty magazines were recovered in their possession.
Suspects have confessed to be the masterminds of armed robbery attacks of 1/3/2018 at Dankalgo – Rawayau village Kurfi LGA of Katsina state and others.
