The Katsina State Police Command has smashed a notorious armed robbery syndicate which specializes in using motorbikes while attacking their victims with dangerous arms and robbing them of their prized possessions.

The Command in a statement announcing the smashing of the gang said, “On 2nd of July 2017 at about 9.45pm, the suspects one Abubakar Nura ‘m’ aged 20yrs alias Garkuwa of Dutsen Amare quarters Katsina, Ismail Usman ‘m’ aged 19yrs of Behind Area Council, Tudun Wada qrts, Katsina together with one other suspect now at large attacked one Hajiya Hasiya Mansir ‘f’ aged 38yrs of Behind Rahusa Residence Kofar Kaura Lay out Katsina state with dangerous weapons.
“They robbed her of the sum of N50,000, one Techno W3D valued N30,000 and one IPHONE 6 valued N250,000:00k and as a result of which she sustained injury on he rneck.
“The two suspects have been arrested and have already confessed to the crime. Investigation is ongoing, please.
A statement by DSP Gambo Isah, Public Relations Officer of the Command reiterated that “The two suspects arrested are Abubakar Nura and Ismail Usman”,
