Zamfara State Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Emmanuel Adeniyi and his driver, who were abducted on Wednesday 27th September 2017, have regained freedom.
The Kaduna State Police Command confirmed the release of Assistant Commissioner of Police and his driver on Sunday, October 1
Recall that ACP Adeniyi and his driver were abducted along Dandume/Birnin Gwari road (Katsina/Kaduna) road.

Adeniyi, who is attached to the state police command in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), was on his way home to Edo State when they were abducted.
The Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mukhtar Aliyu, said the two regained their freedom on Saturday at about 11 pm.
Aliyu said the Zamfara ACP and his driver were released by their abductors following intense pressure by the police anti-kidnapping unit, aerial surveillance, and activities of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team.
