Following complaints of kidnapping of 4 persons in different Parts of Delta State, the Delta State Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crimes Squad, SAKCCS under the command of Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Zanna, swung into action.
The operatives busted several of the kidnapping gangs responsible and arrested many of the gang members responsible for the dastardly acts.
A statement giving details of the arrests said, “As a follow up to the case of kidnapping of Miss Oghenefejiro Ughoghoro who was kidnapped on 18th July 2017, at Owu community in Ethiope LGA, the principal suspect has been arrested.
 The suspect, Kingsley About, 40 years of no. 9 Awuro str, Otu-Jeremi, had been on the run, was handed over to SAKCCS on Friday 8th September 2017 by Eko Police division.

 In a similar vein,  3 male armed robbery and kidnapping suspects suspects namely John Peter 23yrs,  James Amaechi 21yrs and Bright Eruete 20yrs, all of Oginibo Community, Ughelli South LGA of Delta State were arrested and handed over to SAKCCS on Friday 8th September 2017  by the Nigerian Army Sector 1, Operation Delta Safe, Effurun Barracks.
 The suspects were found to have been part of the complicity in the kidnapping of one Patrick Chijindu of Aguata, Anambra state. Chijindu was kidnapped on 24th of August 2017.
 The suspects were arrested along Lagos/Benin expressway in Ijebu Ode and handed over to police alongside a recovered Silver English Raven Pistol, the Victims Toyota Prado Jeep with Reg No KJA 578 BT and a Wallet containing ATM Cards for consolidation of investigation.
 Similarly, the police said with regards to lidnapping of Mrs. Million Orutu, that Mrs Orutu was kidnapped on 27th August 2017 and subsequently released a week later after payment of undisclosed sum of money as ransom
 The police stated that on Friday 8th September 2017, 4 Male Suspects namely Orotu Meibi 27yrs, Benafia Jackson 31yrs and Orotu Preye 52yrs all of Ave Community in Patani LGA of Delta State. They are suspected to being complicit in the kidnapping and have been handed over to SAKCCS by the Police from Patani division for further discreet investigation
