The Commissioner of Police Kogi State Command, CP Wilson Inalegwu has charged Christians to preach the message of peace and security and to ensure unity of Nigeria.
He stated this while addressing the congregation during the opening ceremony at the 2017 Men’s Missionary Union of Nigerian Baptist Convention at the first Baptist Church, Lokoja, Kogi State on 16/8/2017.

Inalegwu urged the Clergy men to talk to the Youths to shun any act of criminality noting that since most criminal activities are being perpetrated by the youths, the Church have s responsibility in bringing up the youths in a Godly way.
While urging the Church to partner with the Police and other security agencies in the fight against crime in Nigeria, the CP assured them of the commands readiness to collaborate to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the State.
He urged them to sharpen their power of observation and report any suspicious movement or objects around their communities.
