Following new tactical operational measures put in place to checkmate criminality in Kogi State, by Commissioner of Police, CP Wilson Inalegwu, Police operatives in the state have arrested armed several robbery and Kidnapping suspects; Car snatchers and cattle rustlers who have making life miserable for travelers and people of the state.
Those arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping include Ocheje Echeje 25years, Omaloko Attah 27yrs and Emmanuelo Musa Onalo 27yrs.
A statement by Kogi State Command said, “On the 3rd of June 2017 at about 9am, based on intelligence reports, Operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad arrested three armed robbery/kidnapping suspects and recovered assorted weapons.
The weapons and exhibits recovered include 1 English double barrel gun, 1 Single barrel gun, 1 Beretta pistol and 2 live cartridges.

Regarding the suspect arrested for car theft, the statement which was quoting the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Administration, DCP Yahaya Abubakar, said, “The suspect, Isaiah Ojode of Olowa town in Dekina was nabbed with 1 Green VW Gulf 3 Saloon Car with reg. No Lagos KSF 911 EH; 1 VW Gulf car (White Colour), with reg. No Kogi AJK 375 AA and one Toyota Camry car (Dark Blue Colour, registered Lagos SMK 620 DE.
Those arrested for Cattle Rustling are Yussuf Husseini aka aka ‘O’Boy’, Musa Ibrahim, Odoma Gabriel and Isiyaha Aminu.
 The statement disclosed that CP Inalegwu has directed the implementation of the new crime fighting strategies by the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), as well as the other Tactical and Operational Units of the Command because of the recent successes recorded by the Command.
 Inalegwu did not fail to acknowledge the support and cooperation of the good people of Kogi State saying they played major roles leading to the Police Command recording major successes in the efforts towards crime prevention and public safety.
