Kwara Police Nab Ritualist with 7 Human Skulls.

The Police in Kwara State on Thursday arrested and paraded a suspected ritualist  with seven human skulls, in addition to other criminal suspects arrested for armed robbery, cultism and car snatching.

Commissioner of police, Lawan Ado told newsmen in Ilorin that the suspect was arrested along Ilorin-Ajase Ipo road with a sack containing the seven human heads noting that the suspect claimed to have exhumed the heads at a Muslim cemetery located at Igbo Owu community in the Ifelodun LGA of the state.

Ado while explaining that the suspect exhumed the heads for ritual purpose, disclosed that the police was on the trail of a second suspect who together with the suspect had committed the offence.

The suspect, Olayinka Abass Akeem explained to reporters that he was lured into the business by his friend, identified as Tunde a.k.a Bante who is now on the run pointing out that Tunde convinced him that the surest way to get rich is to make money rituals and that rich persons were secretly engaging in the ritual act to live comfortably.

The Police Commissioner who noted that the suspect would soon be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded on the matter, said the suspect confessed that the escaped suspect initiated him into the crime.

Five other suspects, including a Nigerian Army Sergeant who were allegedly caught for theft of a brand new green coloured Land Rover jeep belonging to minister of state for Niger Delta, Professor Claudius Daramola were also paraded.

CP Ado described the suspects as an interstate armed robbery gang saying they stole the vehicle at the residence of the Professor at Tanke area of Ilorin metropolis.

He said that the suspects were arrested along Ilorin-Ajase Ipo road by a team of Safer Highway operatives of the command following a tip off of the movement of the gang.

He said the soldier and the other members of the gang confessed to the crime even as he described the military man as a deserter.
